This coffee is sourced from the Gedeb washing station in Ethiopia, which focuses on empowering women farmers. Grown at an altitude of 2200 meters, this coffee is processed using an anaerobic natural method. It features a complex flavor profile with notes of rich chocolate, sweet strawberry, and raspberry, finished with a hint of rum.
Peaks Coffee Company was founded in 2014 by Kelsey and Sam during a winter snowstorm, beginning with the unconventional setup of roasting coffee in a cast iron skillet at home. The roastery expanded to a full sized roasting operation in their garage the following year, scaling thoughtfully while maintaining the hands on approach that defined its origins. Based in Syracuse, New York, Peaks sources through direct trade relationships with Colombian farmers and roasts all bags to order, ensuring freshness and allowing customization for individual customers. One dedicated roaster manages the operation, preserving the intimate knowledge of each batch that comes from consistent, attentive work.
