This Ethiopian coffee is from the Kuri kebele in Chelbesa, Yirgacheffe region, grown at 1900-2100 meters altitude. Produced by Habtamu Fikadu Aga and smallholder outgrowers in the Chelbesa kebele. The coffee features Kurume and Dega varieties and is washed processed. It offers tasting notes of white peach, jasmine tea, meyer lemon, and honeycomb. The coffee is roasted as a light roast for filter brewing. Imported by Crop to Cup.

Sourcing is deliberate and values driven, prioritizing partnerships with marginalized growers including female producers and indigenous communities. The coffees come from farms that use environmentally sustainable methods like shade growing and intercropping, sourced through transparent importers who share supply chain data. Whiptail runs on a tight weekly rhythm: roasting on Mondays, shipping on Tuesdays, keeping everything fresh and close to the process.
