This coffee is produced in southern Ethiopia approximately 12 kilometers from Yirgacheffe town, in the West Arsi zone. Grown by 350 smallholder farmers surrounding the Gotiti washing station at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, the coffee benefits from cool temperatures, rich red-brown soils, and reliable rainfall. The slow cherry maturation at this high altitude contributes to the dense bean structure and complex flavor profile that Yirgacheffe coffees are known for. The farms in this area are typically small, less than 2 hectares each.
