Jonathan Meadows and Nathan Shelton founded Cultivar Coffee Roasting Co. in 2009 in Dallas, both having come up through the local specialty scene at White Rock Coffee and Pearl Cup Coffee. Meadows was the first Dallas barista to reach the national stage of the U.S. Barista Championship. The roastery and cafe have operated since 2011 inside Goodfriend Package at 1155 Peavy Road in East Dallas.
