Etiopia Haro Wachu

Good Coffee Micro Roasters

About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Uraga region in Guji, Ethiopia, grown at an altitude of 2250 meters above sea level. The coffee features heirloom varieties 74110 and 74112. It undergoes anaerobic natural processing at the Haro Wachu washing station. The cherries are grown by local farmers in home gardens and fields, often under the shade of banana trees, Sudan teak, and acacia. After collection, the cherries are washed, sorted, and sealed in airtight tanks where air is pumped out, allowing fermentation to occur over several days. The cherries then sun-dry on platforms for 2-3 weeks. The cup profile is sweet and intense with strawberry, raspberry, and tropical fruit notes, featuring a thick body and complex character.
