About This Coffee

A classic washed Ethiopian coffee from the Keramo Adara washing station in the Bombe mountains at 2,300 meters altitude. The coffee is produced through a partnership with local farmer Daye Bensa and an out-grower group of approximately 1,500 farmers. It features varieties JARC 74112 and local varieties with a light roast profile. Flavor notes include lemon, black tea, caramel, and white blossom, with a clean, balanced, and tea-like character. Ief & Ido

Ief & Ido is a specialty roastery in The Hague, the Netherlands, founded in 2018 by the father and son team Ido and Ief. Ido had been home roasting for over 15 years, at one point pulling shots on an original Faema E61, while Ief discovered specialty coffee through an espresso in Berlin that led him to study the craft across several countries. Together they roast on a Giesen W15 in an old industrial building in The Hague's southwest, combining hand regulated control with modern monitoring technology. Sourcing runs directly from farmers beyond Fairtrade standards, with fully traceable single origins from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Kenya and Mexico, each listed with processing method, tasting profile and body and acidity ratings. Ief & Ido supplies over 50 locations in the region including Michelin starred restaurants and the concert venue Paard van Troje, and delivers locally by cargo bike.
