This single origin coffee comes from the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, specifically from Gedeb. It is a washed coffee made from Heirloom Ethiopian varieties grown at an elevation of 6,800 to 7,500 feet. The coffee features a light, tea-like mouthfeel with subtle floral notes. Tasting notes include green apple and pear. It is roasted to a medium level.
Matt and Julie Koczko opened Reginald's Coffee in 2018, setting up their roastery inside a renovated 1905 schoolhouse in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Named after the couple's dog, the business is as personal as it sounds: coffee is roasted on site, with the roaster positioned prominently in the center of the room for customers to see.
