This single origin coffee from Guatemala comes from Finca La Hermosa, a specialty coffee farm founded in 2010 by fifth-generation coffee producer Max Perez. The farm is located on the slopes of the Acatenango volcano, benefiting from mineral-rich volcanic soil, average annual rainfall of 1,000 mm, and constant temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. The farm follows 100% organic and environmentally-friendly agricultural practices. The coffee features flavor notes of milk chocolate, almond, and pear with a creamy mouthfeel.
What began in 2014 as Le Pista Cafe Mobile, a bicycle powered coffee cart created by Maxime Richard, has grown into a Montreal roastery with three brick and mortar locations. The first permanent cafe opened on Beaubien Street in 2016, and roasting now takes place on a Loring S15 Falcon at the Rue Masson location.
