A decaffeinated medium roast from Finca La Leona in Quindío, Colombia, produced by Luz Helena Salazar. Grown at 1400-1500m elevation, the Caturra variety is processed using Swiss Water Process with honey technique. This decaf features tasting notes of raspberry jam, chocolate cherry, and hazelnut with a smooth, rich flavor profile suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
