This coffee is grown at the Jardines del Eden farm in Quindio, Colombia, by producers Carlos and Felipe Arcila. The Yellow Gesha varietal is cultivated at altitudes between 1700-1900 meters above sea level. The coffee undergoes a washed process, with cherries harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated and hand-sorted to remove defects. Cherries are exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped, then the parchment is gently washed and dried in temperature controlled conditions. The Yellow Gesha maintains the floral characteristics of Red Gesha while adding intense tropical fruit notes, well-defined malic acidity, intense sweetness, and a tea-like body. The roast profile is omni, suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
