Single-origin coffee from Cauca, Colombia, produced by Wilton Benitez at Granja Paraíso 92 farm at 1900m elevation. Gesha variety processed using traditional washed method: cherries de-pulped, fermented in open air for 36 hours, then dried. Light roast with clean, bright cup displaying vivid flavor notes of honeysuckle, Meyer lemon, nectarine, and tangerine. High sweetness balanced by citrus-stone fruit acidity.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
