About This Coffee

This coffee undergoes anaerobic co-fermentation with macerated grapes added to the tank during natural processing of the coffee cherries. A blend of Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varieties, it delivers distinctive grape flavor notes reminiscent of grape jelly and Welch's grape juice. Each tin is roasted to order in small micro batches. Produced by 19-year-old Brayan Alvear and sourced by Tin., a new micro roaster in Ottawa.

The Artery Community Roasters

The Artery Community Roasters is a social enterprise based in Ottawa, Ontario, employing people living with disabilities at living wages. They roast in small batches on a Coffee Crafters Artisan XL with a capacity of up to 10 pounds per roast, and ship within one week of roasting. Sourcing is done on a direct trade basis, maintaining one to two degrees of separation from the farmers. The Artery was named Coffee Roaster of the Month by Commonly Coffee.
