This coffee is a single origin from Guatemala, specifically from the La Hermosa Estate. It is a washed coffee processed with sun drying, medium roasted, and has a low acidity (pH 5.3). The flavor profile features berry, green apple, jasmine, and lemon notes, offering a rich and full-bodied experience with a smooth and sophisticated flavor.
Volcanica Coffee began in 2004 when Costa Rican-born Maurice Contreras started importing richly flavored beans from volcanic regions right out of his garage. What began as a side passion soon grew into a family-run specialty roaster, roasting on demand in Atlanta and sending each batch out within a day.
