Decaf Before Death

About This Coffee

This is a Gesha variety coffee from Villa Esperanza Farm located in El Tambo's Andean foothills of Colombia at 1,650-1,750 meters altitude. The farm uses regenerative farming practices and hosts rare varieties in their biogenetic program. This is an experimental low-caffeine Gesha (similar caffeine levels to Laurina) processed using a unique fermentation method with a cascara- and mucilage-based medium, hot water loop, and carbon filtration to preserve floral volatiles while removing caffeine. The coffee has floral, blackcurrant, and tarragon flavor notes.
