About This Coffee

This decaffeinated coffee is a medium-full roast featuring 100% Peru Organic beans processed using the Select Water decaffeination method. The green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans, then introduced to a concentrated coffee solubles solution that draws out caffeine while minimizing flavor loss. The coffee is sourced from organic farmers across Peru and includes Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Mundo Novo, Pache, and Typica varieties. The beans are fully washed and sun-dried, grown at altitudes between 4,100-5,900 feet. Flavor notes include blackberry, clove, and leather.

Derek Bromley founded Ohm Coffee Roasters in Napa, California in 2016, leveraging his expertise as a sommelier and musician to approach coffee with the precision and passion he brings to other crafts. Bromley, a graduate of Cornell Hotel School and lead guitarist for the band Mama Said, began by operating a family coffee truck at farmers markets before establishing a dedicated roastery in Napas Rail Arts District. Two Loring machines, an S35 Kestrel and S15 Falcon, enable precision roasting while blend names inspired by guitar amplifiers (Full Stack, Half Stack, Tweed, Handwired, Black Magic) showcase Bromleys creative vision. In October 2024, the roastery opened brick and mortar cafes, expanding the brands reach while maintaining the artistic approach that defines the operation.
