About This Coffee

This is a decaffeinated coffee from Brazil processed using the pulped natural method. The decaffeination process uses ethyl acetate solution: green coffee is soaked in water and steamed for 30 minutes to open pores, then soaked and washed in ethyl acetate solution which attracts and removes caffeine over multiple eight-hour cycles. After steaming removes the EA, beans are dried, cooled, polished, and quality checked before roasting. The coffee features flavor notes of brown sugar, cherry bakewell tart, and milk chocolate with a medium roast level. It delivers a full-bodied coffee with smooth notes of caramel, subtle hints of barley, and a warming touch of nutmeg.

Anderson Locatelli has served as Head of Coffee since 2018 and is now the face of the brand, overseeing all roasting at the Brighton facility. The roastery holds recognition from the Soil Association as the UK's only fully organic certified coffee roaster, sourcing exclusively the highest grade Arabica beans from responsible farms and cooperatives across Africa, Latin America, and Asia. The company maintains direct relationships with farmers through traceable lots and long term sustainability practices at origin.
