A washed Geisha variety coffee from Finca Mi Finquita in Los Pozos, Tierras Altas, Chiriqui, Panama, grown at 1,650-2,000 meters altitude by producers Ratibor and Tessie Hartmann. The coffee undergoes careful cherry selection, depulping, pre-drying on African beds for 12 days, and controlled black room dehydration. It delivers a clean, floral profile with tasting notes of jasmine, white peach, and mandarin orange, showcasing ultra-high quality terroir with clarity and vibrancy in its stone fruit and citrus notes.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
