This single-origin coffee from Pedro Moreno's farm in El Cedral, Santa Barbara, Honduras at 1550 metres elevation features the Gesha variety. The coffee is processed using Anoxic Washed method: ripe cherries fermented in an anoxic environment for 72 hours, then de-pulped and dry fermented overnight before washing. The tasting notes reveal intensely floral aromas with geranium and plum blossom, bright and sweet in the cup with honeyed buttery florality of osmanthus tea, apricot jam, satsuma, white nectarine, and lemon verbena, finishing with yuzu curd and deep florals.
Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
