Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee

Tiong Hoe's coffee heritage stretches back to 1960, when Mr. Tan Tiong Hoe began his apprenticeship at age 16 with Dutch company Mirandolle Voute & Co., and the family trading company was established in 1975. The specialty coffee arm was co founded in 2014 by Mr. Tan's son Jacob Tan and partner Juliana, who converted the elder Tan's Stirling Road office of more than 20 years into a cafe that honors his philosophy of pure coffee with zero additives. The operation has expanded to multiple locations across the city, including a VivoCity outlet where customers can select green beans, choose a roast profile, and receive freshly roasted coffee in 30 minutes. Staff include certified Q graders who evaluate more than 20 different origins from Africa, Asia, and the Americas, and the company roasts every Monday and Thursday to supply both its own cafes and partner businesses across Singapore.
