This Arabica coffee is from the Ratnagiri (Pearl Mountain) estate in India's Western Ghat mountains, planted at 1200-1500 meters elevation. Grown under shade trees alongside pepper vines and cardamom groves, the cherries are hand-sorted, fermented 42-72 hours, and washed in mountain streams. The coffee features bittersweetness with notes of brown sugar, praline nut, dark cocoa, malted grains, toasted grain, and burnt sugar, with a dense, syrupy mouthfeel.

Lily & Willy's Coffee Co. is a family run specialty roaster founded in late 2022 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, named after the founders' children. The company roasts fresh for every order rather than building up inventory, sourcing premium single origin beans from Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, and El Salvador. The operation is deliberately small scale, with recent expansion into a local retail shelf at Shores Meat Shoppe marking a first step beyond direct to consumer online sales. The founders built the business with a long term vision of eventually opening their own café.
