India Tiger Stripes is a coffee from Hassan, Karnataka, India, grown at 1500 meters altitude. This is a mixed varietal coffee containing S795, Sln6, Sln9, and Cauvery varietals, many of which have a Kent heritage. The coffee is washed processed with no fermentation to remove the mucilage - the cherry is picked, pulped and sorted straight away, then dried on patios under the sun. This processing method yields low acidity and a well-rounded flavor. The coffee features clove bitterness and subtle sweet hints of cocoa, with a bold flavor profile. Processed and sourced by Allanasons Limited, a company with over 145 years of experience sourcing coffee from Indian estates.
Adams & Russell has been roasting coffee in Birkenhead, near Liverpool, since 1978. They use small batch flame roasting methods, hand roasting specialty grade Arabica from origins spanning nearly every coffee growing country. Their Peninsula Blend earned two Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards. The company is both a registered Fairtrade Foundation Operator and a roaster of Rainforest Alliance certified coffees. In 2016 they opened a Coffee School with a dedicated espresso room for SCA certified barista training. They also supply wholesale clients with equipment from La Marzocco and Mahlkönig alongside their beans.
