About This Coffee

This coffee is from Chelbesa, Gedeb, Ethiopia, grown at 2200 meters altitude. It is produced by smallholder farmers and features Heirloom varieties. The coffee is washed processed using dry fermentation, with cherries floated, depulped, fermented in tanks without water, and dried for 10-15 days. The farm spans 2 hectares with 150 drying beds and employs 17 permanent workers plus 150 additional workers during harvest season from late November to January. This coffee offers bright acidity and a juicy body with flavor notes of rhubarb, orange caramel, pineapple, and butter, with a caramel base characteristic of Chelbesa washing station.
