City Boy Coffee

City Boy Coffee grew out of founder Matt Falber's travels to Guatemala in early 2020, where the artist and performer set out to film a web series about coffee cultivation. When the pandemic brought those plans to a halt, a roasting experiment with a friend evolved into a commercial venture based in Long Island City, New York. Falber sources single origin specialty coffees scoring 84 and above from over 50 growing countries, roasting each batch fresh to order and shipping within days. Pricing transparency is central to the brand's identity, with detailed breakdowns of farmer compensation and FOB prices published for roughly 75 percent of its offerings. A Guatemala selection from farmer Javier Cabrera earned a 93 point rating from Coffee Review, and Falber took home two Bronze medals at the 2024 Golden Bean Awards.
