About This Coffee

This coffee is produced by smallholder farmers of the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society in Nyeri County, Kenya. Located on the foothills of the Aberdare Range at elevations approaching 2,000 meters, the farm benefits from rich volcanic soils and slow cherry ripening. The coffee is washed processed with density sorting and dry fermentation in concrete tanks for 18-24 hours, then sun-dried on raised tables for 12-20 days. The beans are SL-28 and SL-34 varieties, producing a bright, fruit-forward cup with notes of raspberry, lime, and blackberry.
