About This Coffee

Kenya Kiamuturia AB is sourced from the Kiamuturia Washing Station, established in 1996 under the Mutira Cooperative Society, located on fertile volcanic soils near Mount Kenya. The station processes varieties SL-28, SL-34, and Batian, grown in the shade of macadamia trees at around 25°C with cool nights and regular rainfall. Coffee cherries are hand-sorted and processed using the classic Kenyan wet (washed) method, including careful fermentation and drying on raised African beds. Flavor notes include blackberry, blackcurrant, hibiscus tea, jasmine, and cane sugar.

Diamonds Coffee Roastery

Diamonds Roastery is a family operation run by Tomáš and Dáša from Dunajská Lužná, a town just outside Bratislava, that traces its origins to a Christmas gift in 2014: a plastic popcorn maker and one kilogram of green Kenyan coffee. That modest start led to a Huky 500g roaster in 2015, a four day roasting course with Cup of Excellence judge Paul Songer in Kyiv, and eventually a full specialty roastery that now tastes over 800 coffees a year to select roughly 50 exceptional lots. The company has expanded beyond coffee into bean to bar chocolate production, and its packaging is known for playful Slovak phrases contributed by both the team and their customers. Diamonds supplies a network of cafes across Slovakia and Czechia and sells direct through its online shop.
