This coffee is a single-origin offering from the Kieni Cooperative in the Nyeri region of Kenya, grown at an altitude of 1600-1800 meters. It consists of SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 varieties. The beans are processed using a washed method, resulting in a full-bodied, clean, and sweet cup. The flavor profile features distinct notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and rhubarb, characteristic of the high-acidity profiles found in Kenyan coffee.
Bean Shipper has evolved from a coffee subscription service into the heart of the Kuala Lumpur specialty scene. Founded on a mission to promote coffee made in Malaysia, they are championing their own sourcing projects. We visited their HQ in Kuala Lumpur, met the lovely founders, and tasted some really special local coffee. Bean Shipper are a transparent, community-first operation that is single-handedly raising the bar for what you can expect from a Malaysian brew.
