Mutheru coffee showcases the vibrant, classic character of Kenya's highland terroir. The region is home to deep red volcanic soils, cool temperatures, and exceptional SL28 and SL34 varieties. At the Mutheru washing station, only the ripest cherries are hand-picked and meticulously processed through careful fermentation, density grading, and slow drying on raised beds. The result is a bright, complex, and expressive coffee that reflects both the region's rich agricultural heritage and the dedication of its farmers.
Rob and Vikki Hodge founded Rave Coffee in Cirencester in 2011. The roastery moved into a renovated building on Phoenix Way in spring 2023, housing two Loring roasters, a 70kg and the original 35kg. They roast to order daily and have accumulated over 24,000 five star reviews. The Independent voted their subscription the Best Overall Coffee Subscription in 2024. Rave is a 1% for the Planet member and has planted over 22,000 trees through a partnership with One Tree Planted. Their range covers blends, single origins, pods, brew bags, cold brew, and green beans for home roasting.
