La Chumeca is a single origin coffee from Costa Rica, produced by Martin Ureña and his son Emilio at their processing station in San Francisco de León Cortes, San José, Tarrazú region. Grown at 1800 meters altitude, this coffee uses Red Catuai variety beans processed using a pre-fermentation method where cherries ferment in steel drums for 4-6 days before being dried as whole fruit. The coffee presents flavor notes of plum, rosehip, and fermented pineapple.
