La Serrania Decaf

About This Coffee

This coffee is a decaf from the Huila Department in Colombia, grown by small-holder farmers in the communities of Pitalito, Acevedo, Palestina, Timaná and Suaza at altitudes between 1500m and 1750m. It is a washed coffee made from Caturra, Colombia, and Castillo Arabica varieties. The coffee is decaffeinated using the Natural EA (Ethyl Acetate) process derived from sugarcane. It presents a rounded, moreish cup with notes of brown sugar, milk chocolate, raisin, dried redcurrant, roasted almond, hints of brown spice and vanilla, with mellow lemon-like acidity.
