This light roast coffee from Rwanda features Red Bourbon variety grown by smallholder farmers in the Northern Province, Gakenke District at 1600-1800 meters altitude. The single-producer microlot uses a washed processing method with double fermentation, including dry fermentation and wet fermentation stages. The coffee offers caramel and soft fruit notes with an easy-to-drink, clean profile suitable for daily enjoyment.
The Artery Community Roasters is a social enterprise based in Ottawa, Ontario, employing people living with disabilities at living wages. They roast in small batches on a Coffee Crafters Artisan XL with a capacity of up to 10 pounds per roast, and ship within one week of roasting. Sourcing is done on a direct trade basis, maintaining one to two degrees of separation from the farmers. The Artery was named Coffee Roaster of the Month by Commonly Coffee.
