This coffee is from Guerrero state in Mexico, produced by 33 family farms in the Montaña Alta region at altitudes of 1500-1900 meters. The coffee consists of Typica and Bourbon varieties processed using the natural/dry method and sun-dried on raised beds. Juba means "mountain" in Mephaa, the indigenous language spoken by the producers. The coffee is characterized by a balanced profile with distinct nutty character, soft fruitiness, fine chocolate tones, and pronounced body. The coffee is part of a long-term project led by Ensambles Cafes Mexicanos that pays producers three times the market price and supports women-led farming initiatives in the region.
