This is a half-caff blend combining two single origin coffees. The processing method is washed. The flavor profile features roasted hazelnut, brown sugar, and graham cracker notes. The blend is designed to provide a moderate caffeine boost suitable for evening consumption.
Established in 2013 as part of Jacob McKean's Modern Times Beer brewery in San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood, this operation roasts coffee on a beautiful 15 kilogram Giesen roaster while maintaining a full scale 30 barrel brewery. Though beer production launched first, coffee roasting began simultaneously, and both operations have grown alongside one another with equal passion and precision. Modern Times Coffee operates primarily from The Invigatorium, a retro futurist coffee house in San Diego's East Village, proving that a roastery can thrive as an integral part of a larger creative beverage enterprise.
