Midnight Train Blend is a dark roast coffee featuring two blend components: Brazil Cerrado Mineiro Designation of Origin Accredited Farms and Organic Honduras COMSA - Royal Reserva Natural Fair Trade. The coffee is processed using the natural method. The blend is carefully dark roasted to maintain delicate flavors while highlighting cocoa nibs, graham cracker, and stone fruit notes. Named after the B&O railroad, this aromatic coffee can be enjoyed as a standalone beverage, used for cold brew, or served with milk.
Black Acres was established in 2018 by Travis Bell in Baltimore's Station North district. The Black owned roastery specialises in single origin and blended coffees, roasting all beans in house in small batches and sourcing ethically from South America and Africa with an emphasis on supply chain transparency. The business is part of Ignite Capital's social entrepreneur network and provides training programmes for employees covering coffee knowledge, customer service, and manufacturing. Alongside its retail locations at Open Works and Lexington Market, the roastery offers local Tuesday afternoon deliveries and direct to consumer subscriptions.
