Monsooned Malabar AA

Monsooned Malabar AA

TADAH kafferosteri

About This Coffee

This Monsooned Malabar AA is a single origin coffee from the Malabar Coast in southwestern India. Produced by smallholder farmers at elevations between 600-1,600 meters, this coffee undergoes a unique monsooning process where beans are stored in ventilated warehouses along the coast for 12-16 weeks, exposed to humid monsoon winds. This traditional method causes the beans to swell and lighten in color, developing a creamy, soft character with very low acidity. The coffee features tasting notes of cedar wood and fresh tobacco leaves, with a full body and long, round finish. The varieties are Kent, Catimor, and Selection 9, roasted to a medium level.
