About This Coffee

A Burundi coffee from the Izuba washing Station in Rununya, Kabarore Commune, Kayanza Province. The washing station is situated near a nearby river and the Kibira national park, providing ideal coffee growing conditions with volcanic soils. The coffee is produced by local smallholders and processed at the Izuba station, which employs 2 full-time staff and around 250 seasonal workers. The vast majority of Burundi coffee is produced by smallholders with parcels of land often not larger than one hectare per family.
