About This Coffee

This is a single origin coffee from Nicaragua, specifically from the Santa Maria farm in the Aranjuez region of Matagalpa. The farm is owned by third-generation coffee producer Victor Robelo and sits within La Reserva El Arenal, a protected forest area. The coffee grows at 1400-1500 meters altitude under natural shade and is made from Red and Yellow Catuai varieties. It is processed using natural methods, with cherries dried on raised beds under shade for approximately 40 days. The coffee offers a sweet, fruit-forward cup with notes of plum, brown sugar, and cherry, featuring clarity and a smooth finish.

UE Coffee Roasters

UE Coffee Roasters was founded in 2009 by Dominic Boyett in Witney, Oxfordshire, with the roastery established in 2012. The team brings over 50 years of combined experience in specialty coffee and roasts Monday through Friday at their production facility, which is visible to visitors through the adjoining roastery café. They source from 58 farms through direct, long standing trading relationships, and every wholesale partner receives on site quality control visits every six weeks. Beyond roasting, the business offers SCA barista training courses, equipment rental programmes, loose leaf tea blending, and a white label roasting service. All packaging is 100% recyclable, and the company works with machine partners including Victoria Arduino, Conti, Rocket, and Mahlkonig.
