This is a 100% Arabica coffee from Sumatra, Indonesia, grown at altitudes between 1000-1400 meters. The coffee features Tim-Tim and Ateng varieties and is processed using the semi-washed method. The flavor profile includes licorice, fine fruit sweetness, and a full-bodied character. Harvested between February and May, this coffee comes from smallholder families who manage their coffee gardens ecologically and are committed to protecting the rainforest and its wildlife. The coffee supports the Sumatra Orang Utan conservation program with premiums paid per kilogram.
Kubilay and Michele Senatore co founded KIVAMO Kaffeerösterei in December 2017 at Uellendahler Strasse 312 in Wuppertal, building a roastery shaped by and for the local community in North Rhine Westphalia. Senatore, an IHK certified coffee sommelier, brings formal training to the partnership, while Kubilay oversees every batch as roastmaster, roasting fresh specialty coffee in small quantities on site with the precision of an authorized Specialty Coffee Trainer. His signature House Blend No. 1 and House Blend No. 2 are crafted to reflect the tastes of the Wuppertal community they serve. Beyond roasting, they teach barista courses and latte art training, sharing expertise with aspiring coffee professionals and enthusiasts.
