This coffee is an Organic Colombia Cauca Cosurca, sourced from the Cauca region in Colombia. It is Rain Forest Alliance Certified and produced by smallholder farmers associated with the Cosurca cooperative. The coffee features tasting notes of dark chocolate, amaretto, and clementine. It is roasted to a medium level and sold as whole bean.
Better Buzz Coffee was founded in 2002 by college students Tim Langdon and Stephanie Garden, starting as a coffee cart in San Diego before opening their first café in Pacific Beach in 2007. The roastery in Vista, California runs a Diedrich CV45 with a 100 pound batch capacity, producing approximately 2,500 pounds per week. The business holds CCOF organic certification and sources Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certified beans. Growth has been rapid, with the store count doubling from 12 to 24 locations between 2022 and 2024 before expanding into Phoenix and Las Vegas. As of late 2025, Better Buzz operates 42 locations across California, Arizona, and Nevada.
