This is an organic single origin coffee from the Chiapas region of Mexico. It is a washed coffee with six Bourbon, Catuai, Catimor, Caturra, Pacamara, and Typica varieties grown in clay mineral soil. The beans are fully washed and sun-dried. This Medium roast offers tasting notes of toasted pecan, cinnamon, and panela.
Better Buzz Coffee was founded in 2002 by college students Tim Langdon and Stephanie Garden, starting as a coffee cart in San Diego before opening their first café in Pacific Beach in 2007. The roastery in Vista, California runs a Diedrich CV45 with a 100 pound batch capacity, producing approximately 2,500 pounds per week. The business holds CCOF organic certification and sources Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certified beans. Growth has been rapid, with the store count doubling from 12 to 24 locations between 2022 and 2024 before expanding into Phoenix and Las Vegas. As of late 2025, Better Buzz operates 42 locations across California, Arizona, and Nevada.
