A rich and sweet decaf coffee from Papua New Guinea, suitable for all brewing methods. The blend combines coffees from two provinces in the highlands: Simbu Province with its limestone regions and the Eastern Highlands with fertile volcanic soil. Smallholder farmers sun-dry the coffee cherries until twelve percent moisture content is reached. The coffee features Typica and Bourbon varieties, washed processed with EA Decaffeination, grown at 1600-1850 meters altitude. Tasting notes include apple, caramel, and amaretto.
Lost Horizon Coffee is a micro batch specialty roaster in Bristol, named after the Shangri la tale. They roast every Tuesday and Thursday, sourcing fully traceable coffees from farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, Brazil, and beyond through direct partnerships. The roastery offsets its carbon footprint twice over, including the water used to brew. Local Bristol deliveries are handled by bicycle courier, and wholesale clients can opt for reusable tubs instead of bags. Packaging is biodegradable across the board.
