Pink Bourbon El Zacatin Omniroast

Kaffeekirsche

About This Coffee

A single-origin Pink Bourbon variety from the El Zacatin farm in La Concordia, Antioquia, Colombia, grown at 2,100 meters above sea level. Produced by coffee farmer Eduardo Fernández, this coffee is naturally processed — dried whole cherry for over 30 days on traditional African beds with additional fermentation and pre-selection steps. The flavor profile features blackcurrant, red grapes, and dark chocolate, with subtle red wine notes. The body is intensely long-lasting, with dominant sweetness and tart, fruity acidity. Roasted as an Omniroast suitable for multiple brewing methods.

Kaffeekirsche

Kaffeekirsche was founded in 2014 in Berlin Kreuzberg near Adalbertsrasse, beginning a journey that has seen the roastery move and expand multiple times as demand grew. In 2017 the operation relocated to Böckhstrasse alongside a new cafe and bakery, and by February 2022 the main roastery had settled in Tempelhof with an attached cafe, bringing the total to three Berlin locations. All coffee is drum roasted daily, with a focus on single origin Arabica beans sourced from origins including Colombia, where Pink Bourbon from the Cauca region is among the standout lots. Their omni roast philosophy means each coffee is developed to perform across both espresso and filter brewing methods. Signature roasts like the Dark Side Espresso and Gran Galope, known for its full body and lingering sweetness, showcase the range and ambition of their roasting program.
