Sweet Blossom Coffee

Ang Yee Siang and Stella Teo founded Sweet Blossom Coffee Roasters in Johor Bahru on August 1, 2015, evolving from an earlier venture called Art52 Coffee and developing their own distinctive light roast style through years of trial and error rather than formal roasting training. The roastery specializes in light roasted single origin coffees designed to bring out bright, clean flavors with a deliberate balance between acidity and sweetness, and the team sources its beans through blind tasting sessions that prioritize what tastes exceptional in the cup over brand recognition or origin prestige. Sweet Blossom became well known early on for Yee Siang's intricate 3D latte art on cappuccinos and hot chocolates, an eye catching skill that drew initial attention to the cafe before the roasting program matured into the operation's true focus. A second location opened in October 2025 on the historic Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk, expanding the roastery's footprint in Johor Bahru while maintaining the same commitment to clarity and quality that defined the original Taman Pelangi shop. Sweet Blossom also runs a subscription service delivering a different selection of freshly roasted beans each month to customers in Malaysia and Singapore, extending the reach of a roastery that has grown from a small Johor Bahru cafe into one of southern Malaysia's most respected specialty operations.
