About This Coffee

Rite of Spring is a single-origin coffee from the Gakenke region of Rwanda. Grown at altitudes between 1,800 and 2,100 meters in volcanic terrain, this coffee is produced by smallholder farmers of the Dukunde Kawa cooperative. It is processed using the natural method, resulting in a smooth, balanced cup with mellow acidity and a velvety finish. Tasting notes include buttercream, mandarin orange, and red apple, with sweet, sugary aromas.

DOMA Coffee Roasting Company

Terry and Rebecca Patano founded DOMA Coffee Roasting Company in 2000, naming it after their two sons, Dominic and Marco. What started as a passion project in the garage grew into a full operation based in Post Falls, Idaho, with a second cafe in Coeur d'Alene. DOMA roasts on a Loring Smart Roaster nicknamed Lucky 13, the thirteenth Loring ever made, which consumes 80 percent less natural gas than conventional equipment. The company sources exclusively through direct relationships with farmers and importers, and every employee receives SCA training. An Ethiopia Suke Quto was a 2015 Good Food Awards finalist, and the brand has earned multiple national ADDY Awards for its packaging design.
