This coffee is a single origin Rwanda from the Northern Province, specifically the Rebero Lot. It is sourced from 633 farmers delivering to the Kinini washing station, with cherries harvested from trees grown on north-facing slopes at altitudes of 1973 meters and above. The coffee is a Bourbon Mayaguez 139 variety, processed by washing - the cherry is fermented, pulped and soaked before drying.

Adams & Russell has been roasting coffee in Birkenhead, near Liverpool, since 1978. They use small batch flame roasting methods, hand roasting specialty grade Arabica from origins spanning nearly every coffee growing country. Their Peninsula Blend earned two Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards. The company is both a registered Fairtrade Foundation Operator and a roaster of Rainforest Alliance certified coffees. In 2016 they opened a Coffee School with a dedicated espresso room for SCA certified barista training. They also supply wholesale clients with equipment from La Marzocco and Mahlkönig alongside their beans.
