This coffee is from Fazenda Santa Lucia, a 123-hectare farm located in Sul De Minas, Brazil, at an altitude of 900-1100 meters. The farm has been owned by the Garcia Family since 1994, spanning three generations of coffee producers. The coffee is Bourbon variety processed using the Pulped Natural method. The cherries are manually picked at maturation, then laid out on patios and turned hourly until reaching 50% moisture, then collected in thicker piles to dry to 11.5% over up to 21 days. After drying, the coffee rests in wooden hoppers for 20 days before hulling. The farm employs 11 permanent workers with over 20 years of experience each and uses organic fertilizers while reducing agrochemicals. Medium roast with flavor notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, and almond.
