About This Coffee

A blend of 50% Arabica from Central Africa and 50% Robusta from India, roasted for Saxony using a traditional long drum roasting process. The Central African Arabica contributes lively acidity and complex aromas of berries, citrus, and chocolate, while the Indian Robusta provides a strong body, dense crema, and elevated caffeine content. Flavor notes include cocoa, dark chocolate, vanilla, peanut, caramel, raspberry, and citrus fruits.

Blank Roast

Blank Roast is a coffee manufactory nestled in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, right on Germany's famous Wine Route — an unusual but fitting location for a roaster that draws on terroir-thinking. Master roaster Holger K. Blank has been at the helm since 2007, using a beautifully restored 1930s roasting machine fitted with modern controls. His unique approach includes adding organic grapevines from the surrounding region during the roasting process, which adds moisture and coaxes out extra aroma from the beans. The result is a distinctly smooth, aromatic cup with notes of vanilla, almond, and cinnamon developed during the 15-to-20-minute slow roast. Customers can watch the entire roasting process from their café seats while enjoying breakfast and freshly brewed coffee — a true sensory experience.
