This coffee is sourced from Bensa Woreda in the Shantawene area of Ethiopia's Sidama region. The Shantawene Station sits at an elevation of 2,230 meters and processes cherries using Natural, Red Honey, and Anaerobic methods. The cherries are fully ripened and handpicked by local outgrower farmers. The high-altitude location and specialized processing result in a cup that showcases the distinctive characteristics of Sidamo coffees from Shantawene.
