Seafarer Coffee Co.

Seafarer Coffee Co. is a nano roastery in Kuala Lumpur that has built its reputation around the idea of simplifying the way people drink specialty coffee, stripping away the intimidation that can surround third wave culture and making high quality beans available through an approachable, click and order model and their signature drip bag format designed for brewing anywhere without equipment. The roastery operates at the smallest end of the production scale, working in tiny batches that allow precise control over every roast, and the team applies a strict sourcing philosophy summed up by their promise that only the best goes in the bag. Seafarer's Coffee Space, located at the roastery itself, opens to visitors on weekends and select public holidays by reservation, offering a rare chance to see a nano operation up close and taste the full range of offerings including single origins like their Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Misty Valley and house espresso drinks. The brand's signature serve is the Dirty Coffee, a stark combination of hot espresso poured directly over cold milk without ice that has become a calling card for the roastery and introduced many of its customers to specialty for the first time. Seafarer demonstrates that a roastery does not need scale to have impact, using drip bags and direct online sales to reach coffee drinkers across Malaysia from one of the smallest production setups in the country.
