About This Coffee

This single origin Colombian coffee comes from Huila, specifically from a community lot produced by six farmers: Luis Orlando Sánchez, Luz Mary Galíndez, Hernán Calderón, Gustavo Calderón, Aldemiro Sambony, and Edwin Jiménez, all members of Terra Coffee cooperative. The lot features Typica variety and is fully washed processed. The cherries undergo controlled fermentation for 24 to 36 hours, followed by 12 to 15 hours submerged in water tanks. The beans are then sun-dried for 12 to 15 days. All producers participate in an organic certification program and practice environmentally responsible farm waste management. The coffee has a smooth body with gentle acidity and a sweet finish.

Wolføx

Wolføx was founded in 2017 by Fabio Lauro, originally from Como in Italy, with the roastery based on Preston Street in Brighton just steps from the seafront. Anderson Locatelli has served as Head of Coffee since 2018 and is now the face of the brand, overseeing all roasting at the Brighton facility. The roastery holds recognition from the Soil Association as the UK's only fully organic certified coffee roaster, sourcing exclusively the highest grade Arabica beans from responsible farms and cooperatives across Africa, Latin America, and Asia. The company maintains direct relationships with farmers through traceable lots and long term sustainability practices at origin. Beyond Brighton, Wolføx operates locations in Hove, London, Leeds, and internationally in Madrid and Lake Como.
