This single-origin coffee from Uganda is produced at Nyabirongo Washing Station in the Rwenzori region, specifically in Kalingwe/Buzira. The coffee is grown at altitudes between 1,800 and 2,200 meters by smallholder farmers of the Bakonzo tribe. The varieties are SL-14 and SL-28, processed using the washed method. The coffee features fruity notes of apple and stone fruit, with juicy sweetness reminiscent of navel orange and black tea characteristics. The washing station employs controlled processing with flotation selection, depulping, canal washing, and drying on African beds for 2-3 weeks to reach 11-12% moisture content.
And Coffee Roasters is a Japanese roastery that believes in connecting people through coffee. The "and" in their name symbolizes the relationships they build with farmers, customers, and the community.
